It’s been bothering me that I have let this blog become nothing but goodreads and Twitter with the occasional delicious posts. I’ve been trying to figure out what it’s going to take to make me start blogging again, especially since I have several half-written drafts lying about, and even more ideas hiding in a to-do list. Nothing seemed to be motivating me.

Last night, while I was journaling about something else, several things collided in my head to create the Create365 Project. The point of this project is to do something creative every single day, and then post evidence of it here. You guys are going to keep me accountable. Some of you may recognize this idea from Project 365, which I’ve often considered. It’s never been feasible for me, though, because most of the pictures would be of either work or home.

I’ve never been one to stick with a single form, anyway, so what you’ll see is a variety of talents. Hopefully, they’ll be interesting to you. Hopefully, they’ll help me build skills I’ve been meaning to work on. Some of you might even find yourself inspired to attempt either Project 365, Create365, or your own version of a daily creative challenge.

Even though I don’t intend to focus on photography, my very first creative opportunity provided itself early this morning. I’ve driven around this area countless times and overlooked the area where the hotels are tucked away in favor of trying to get to the shops and businesses around it. This morning, I looked out the window and saw a lovely, quiet town.
