I have another prompt I’m working on, but I don’t like the direction I’m taking it so you’ll have to wait to see it.
Instead, I give you my response to today’s oneword prompt:
Color burst in the sky, washing everything below in a light you could almost read by. The city was safe, again. The explosions from the fireworks were drowned out by all the cheers and singing that filled the city square.
Oddly enough, it’s exactly 40 words, just like my other oneword response. My typing speed is somewhere between 55 and 60wpm, so I don’t know what’s going on. I don’t think it takes me fifteen seconds to think of a response, but maybe it does.
I have it in my head that this one is set in the world of my 2008 NaNovel attempt, a future high-tech city surrounded by four traditional monasteries.
